thanks very much Carolion!!! appreciate your perception---yes, the empty mind as pect is something i like working with, such as in my series entitled "uncarved block" and others. are you familiar with jung's concept of synchronicity--most likely are? for me this for perfectly gives form to the interpenetration of the two disperate events. if you haven't seen it yet in person, i hope you can. it is directly related to the piece i made for Steve and Lou Mason, which is in their yard off w. stroop, overlooking the kettering moraine golf course, and can be easily seen from the street. there are two other such related works on my web site, with with a central circle at Aswan, the other an octagon at Bahrain. all the moment i am in shanghai overseeing work on a large stainless steel piece....all the best...jon --it seems the photo of SYNCHRONICITY X:LIGHT OF THE WORLD on the site here is too stretched for some reason.

That Cedarville U. sculpture is just right. The eye of the needle.....but also the Empty Mind.

I think the kids truly understood the details of the sculpture, the little hidden elements. They saw how the whole was built from the essence of a library. They enjoyed the whimsical bits too such as the bookworm.

Amazing sculpture, Jon. I am quite involved with Dragon energy right now too ~ ~ ~ perhaps it is a worldwide theme at the moment? Just a thought. (and nice to "meet" you here)------Carol
