Hello Everyone, As a member of Village Artisans, for the past 5 years, I was pleased to see so many friends on this Art Networking site. I am a gourd artist first and foremost. I love carving and decorating hardshell gourds. I also enjoy weaving with natrual items to the top of the gourds and using stones, beads and other interesting materials to complete a gourd project.
Most recently I have enjoyed painting with acrylics on a different canvas than gourds. Most all of my work has a southwest flavor through color and images. I have enjoyed learning something new with every piece I paint and had my first showing at Village Artisans in July and August, 2008. I have made my paintings available through 5x7 greetings cards as well as 8x10 and 11x16 prints. It has been very cool to continue learning and creating new things. This is part of the joy of being an artist.
Aren't we the luckest people in the world?
I hope that when you stop in to visit at Village Artisans you'll check out my gourds and prints. Who knows, I might even be working that day, be sure to say "Hi!".
