I love how you really got this folk school thing going through sheer determination, persistence and of course love of The Folk Arts.

Carolion, What is the latest on the Story Box Project? Have you registered as Story Ambassador? Did you get to Columbus last Monday for the kick off with Kevin Cordi? Thanks so much for grabbing this opportunity and running with it!
See you at the Dec. 11th Arts Council meeting when we decorate the Story Box!

Thanks, Carol! Btw the festivities on Sunday involved broom, dustpan, bucket and mop......And scooping out LOTS of leftover bean soup into leftover containers for my freezer. Bean soup, anyone????

Hi Carolion---

Hope you are flowing with the energy waves this week! As I mentioned at the library I'm going with family to Kenyon on Saturday and will be getting home rather late that night. However, I'll try to pop over to the festivities on Sunday. Wishing all Folk a Great Festival this coming weekend!

By "usefulness," I mean something like a potholder, a quilt, a chair....something to take home from a folkschool event and use, and pass down.

By "Living in the NOW of way back then," I mean that the useful objects are made by hand - skills that many had in hand in the 1840s, but that too few have developed in the 2000s.
